999 Emergency

This video was created by a group of four Deaf people who meet at the Hearing Impairment Unit at Bury Library.

Its aim is to highlight the real problems faced by Deaf people accessing the Emergency Services and to offer a simple yet effective solution.

    Hi, I’m Martyn and deaf as well

    I think it is good idea to use message for emergency to quick respond and reply as well,

    I think I like that the better. Well done.

    This is good idea we keep trying make all Ambalance, fire and police awareness!. It not fair Between Hearing and Deaf It more dangerous to waste deaf peoples time. Now Wake Up and Think of deaf peoples!

    sorry you are having problems watching 999 video.
    The videos are in MP4 format so you will need a player that supports this format.
    You can download the free Quicktime Player (for Mac and PC) here:

    I will also try and upload the video to YouTube.
    (Previously attempts to upload video to YouTube had problems).
